Lurking in the undergrowth of Manchester’s music scene amongst all the great (and, let’s face it, not so great) guitar bands there is a unique trio trying to rally the troops in the name of NuJazz. We are called Revelation Kollektiv and we are one of the most accomplished new bands to be found circulating around Manchester. With our tracks (My Sunny and Your Future) reaching Number 1 in national and global charts in both jazz and disco categories on numberonemusic (N1M), we take our reference points from MAW, Jamie Lidell, Koop, St Germain and Quantic Soul Orchestra and are here to show that there’s a more diverse sound coming out of Manchester following in the success of guitar bands such as Doves and Elbow.
We are slowly putting together a new album that will push the boundaries of our contemporary classical soundworld to its limits as we fuse it with our interests in dubstep and gamelan. It will be called Different Shades of Blue. So look out for it in 2016! We’ll let you know more when it is near completion……
